As The Final Series comes into sight on the European Tour, Andy Sullivan has left no stone unturned in his quest for glory after recording his third victory of the year at the Portugal Masters last week. Going into the event having already won the South African Open in January and the Joburg Open in March, Andy fired four sub-70 rounds to secure a nine shot victory over Chris Wood for his third Tour victory of the year. His flawless final round 66 came courtesy of no bogeys and five birdies, three of which came in the last five holes. Andy is in his fourth full year on Tour with his Stroke Average improving year on year - currently he is ranked 15th with a 70.32 Stroke Average compared with 2012 where it was at 71.75. Having found his way into the top 50 in the World Rankings for the first time in his career, if he carries on this trend then he will no doubt be teeing it up at Hazeltine National next September.
Would he make your European Team? Andy is a PING Staff player and his G30 clubs certainly seem to be working. Remember we are an authorised PING fitting centre so if you are interested in a fitting let us know.

Verulam v Verulam Artisans for the Wooden Spoon On Saturday the main club welcomed the Artisans Section to play their annual grudge match for the Wooden Spoon.
Captain
Rik Bird was up against the highly competitive Artisans Captain
Garry Jordan.
Click here to watch their elegant swings in action.
All matches were closely contested, but fortunately for Captain Jordan his team prevailed 8 points to 7. The biggest shock of the competition was that
Adrian Doyle won his match!
The forfeit for the loosing captain was to wear the wooden spoon for the night. We wish the Vice Captain
Bryn Aldridge luck next year.
Last week's challengers were
Doug Wilson and
John Foster.
A thoroughly enjoyable game was had by all.
The overall result was a 5 up win to us.
Who works in an office and fancies a bit of fresh air with team building exercises? Well that's what K2 Partnering did when staying at Sopwell House recently. From the reports after their round, they all had a fantastic time!

Sam Ryder Golf Academy This week saw the last weekend of golf before the Half Term holidays. The children enjoyed playing the Academy Course on the practice facility.
Sunday's session saw a battle of the coaches and their team of children, this resulted in Laurence having to do the harsh consequence of press ups in front of the families at the end of the session as he was not on the winning team.
Committee Junior Match This year the format was slightly different. Usually played as a matchplay format of the Committee against the Juniors. Seeing as the juniors always beat us we decided to change the format to a betterball stableford with one committee member playing with a junior.
