So close yet so far!
Tiger Woods went into this week's PGA Tour event needing a top two finish to extend his season into the FedExCup Playoffs, and how close he was to achieving this.
After three rounds in the 60's to start his week, including a brilliant 64 on day one, Tiger went into the final round with his goal easily in reach. After a slow start to his final round being level par through 10, Tiger had a disaster on and around the green on 11 to run up a triple-bogey seven which he followed with a bogey at the 12th.
However, signs that Tiger's game isn't far off came over the remaining holes as he had three birdies on the trot plus an amazing birdie on the last to finish the week in 10th place.
A story of what could have been for Tiger, but there were certainly signs that his game isn't far off.

Last week the captain and I represented Verulam in the PGA East Region Captain Pro Challenge at John o' Gaunt Golf Club in Bedfordshire.
Playing for a place in the finals in Turkey in November, the Captain flew straight out the blocks with a nett birdie on the first two holes followed by a birdie by me on the third. Being -3 thru 3 holes we were already packing our suitcases for sunnier climates.
Unfortunately two shots were dropped in the next two holes and from there we never really got going.
We finished with a score of 69 (-2) which left us in a respectable 15th place from 53 entrants.

Buying goods from the internet always seems like such a good idea, but let's take a look at what you gain and what you lose. You may think you save a pound or two, however, what you lose can be huge!
For example, let's take a look at a case of an electric trolley breaking down.
New PING Irons Have Arrived!!!
PING golf have been at it again launching some awesome new products this week.
The new GMax irons have been brought out to supercede the Karsten irons while the i25 have been replaced by the new i series. We have already been fitting various members to the new offerings from PING with gains in distance and forgiveness.
PING are now offering certain shaft options with no extra up charge for the first time ever, so if you are interested in testing out the new irons please drop by the shop and see one of the JS GOLF team.
Both the GMax and i series have already tested fantastically with some alarmingly good numbers on the GC2 launch monitor and even Team JSG have had time this week to test the new irons, and we love them!
