State of the Art Swing Studio gets the go ahead!! 

If you read the general managers newsletter you will know that the club have approved a state of the art swing simulator studio at the rear of the professionals shop (pending planning permission). 

The Swing Studio which will be fully installed with Foresight's GC2 & HMT Game changing technology which is revolutionising golf which I'm sure you will all want to check out for yourselves. 

Last week I visited the show rooms of Foresight Sports. You will be amazed at the quality and accuracy of the simulator. It can also be used to play courses such as Sunningdale, Royal Birkdale, The Doral, Pinehurst plus many more.

1st - Tom Naylor - 72 - 6 = 66, 2nd - Harvey Holmes 75 - 7 = 68 

Congratulations to all of this week's winners. 

 

Last week saw a busy schedule of Captain Pro challenge matches. Our first challenges of the week were Donald Longmuir and Geoff Price. It was a nip and tuck match with the leaders only ever being two up. The captain and I were the eventual winners with the score finishing at 2 up.

Our second challengers of the week were Ian Palfry and Phil 'Trovi' Trovotello. We knew we were in for a tough match but started well with a 4 nett 3 on the first by the skipper. Holes were being won with gross and nett birdies, and by the end of the match we had only halved 2 holes the hole match. Team Palfry and Trovi were 2 up standing on the 16th tee. I managed to birdie 16 and 17 to claw the match to all square going down the last. Unfortunately giving Trovi a shot on the last proved too difficult and he made a solid 5 nett 4 to win the match 1 up.

PING Experience Day 

Everyone who purchased a set of PING irons in my Complete Equipment Solution in May and June was entered into a draw to play with me in a PING Experience Golf Day at Chigwell Golf Club this week. The lucky winner was Stuart Bigham. 

The day consisted of Breakfast and an 18 Hole Fourball Better Ball competition. European Tour player and PING Staff player Tom Lewis joined us for a few holes and a chat.

Food followed play and prizes were awarded for the top three pairs.

Stuart and I only managed 34 points betterball, but we had a great day and really enjoyed our 4 holes with Tom.
