Cleveland Wedges

To complete our huge range of wedges in store we have added Cleveland. Unlike any other wedges on the market we have got them engraved with the VERULAM emblem! Not only are the engraved but they are leading wedges with Rotex groove technology.

Last week I mentioned the popularity of the new Callaway XR pro irons. The customer gained over 15 yards of carry distance over his old Callaway X14 irons. He is a member of Dunstable Downs Golf Club and heard about the technology that I have to undertake the most thorough custom fit session. This is what he text me after his using them:

"Joel just to let you know the clubs are fantastic! Played on Friday and won the monthly stableford. £40 winnings and played today and shot 76! Happy days!"

Last week our challengers were Jim Morriss and Bruce Gardner. The game was tight with only ever one hole in it. Bruce played extremely well making 3 birdies. Unfortunately I managed to three putt the last for the game to finish all square.

On Sunday our juniors got together for a game with some adult members in preparation for their season of improving their handicaps. Everyone who came along had fun and met some of the adult members who were very impressed with the juniors' games!

Karl Morris Evening at VGC

On Thursday we had golf psychologist Karl Morris come to our golf club and give a seminar to members and guests on how to improve their golf through helpful practice and thinking your way around the golf course. The evening was very well supported and everyone who came along gave extremely positive feedback. In the future we hope to lead many more evenings like this, and if you missed Karl, make sure you make it to the next event as we're sure it will help your game!

The course here at Verulam is in wonderful condition. We have invested heavily in the new bunkers and are offering a March Bunker Bonanza. To celebrate the opening of the new bunkers we've made our winter green fee offer more attractive.

April Medal

It's that time of the year already and we are fast approaching the first medal of the year! You may remember from last year that the April medal gives the winner the chance to play in the prestigious Lombard Trophy with Joel. The qualifier will be held at Camberly Heath Golf Club. Should you and Joel qualify you will go on to the national finals at Walton Heath Golf Club, one of England's best courses! So good luck in two weeks' time!
