Verulam Triumphs in La Manga Pro-Am

Last week myself and Glen took six of our most accomplished members to La Manga Spain for an East Region Pro-Am played over two rounds on the North Course, and one on the Championship length South Course. We read the general managers newsletter mentioning the events of Mr Shoemaker on the 18th Green on the North course. If you haven't yet asked him, make sure you do. Below is a picture of where the event all happened.

Glen's team of Phil 'Shoey' Shoemaker, Rob 'Slap' Hill and Eric "uncle" Saunders were the overall winners being victorious by 2 points, overcoming a 7 point deficit on the final round. Glen ran away with the individual professional event by 12 shots.

Myself, Jim 'Stir' Fry, John 'Chopper 2' Wells and Allen 'Thriller' Miller finished a creditable seventh place in the overall team standings. We all had a great time and I would personally like to thank all six of the members for supporting the pro-am, and by the looks of it in the evenings you all had a great time.
