Club news

Practice ground update

Unfortunately, with the arrival of autumn, our driving range will be closing as of Monday 12th October, but it will remain open should you wish to use and collect your own golf balls.

The reason we have to close the range in the winter is that collecting the golf balls using the buggy is not possible and also many balls plug in the soft ground conditions.

But we don't want you to stop practicing. We have the studio open for hire to improve your game in warmth and comfrot. You can view when the studio is available via our website and the button below.

Captain Pro Match

Our challengers last Sunday were Syd Halder and Matt Bourne. To make a change the weather was dry and bright. 

Syd and Matt were on form but couldn't match the captain with his nett birdies and even a gross birdie two on the 17th hole to close the match with a 4 up win.  Below is a video of the skipper holing the winning putt.  Shall I give some two's balls?

Winter Studio Membership

With the driving range now closed for the winter, why not treat yourself and practice in the comfort of a warm, dry studio using the very best technology available.

The studio membership will run from 1st November to 31st March (5 months) and will cost £250 (£50 per month).

Details as follows:

  • One hour of practice per week - Monday to Friday and Sundays during shop opening hours (8am to 4pm)
  • Additional people may join at a supplement of £5 per person
  • Ability to practice on the range mode, online nearest the pin challenges, skills tests, gapping sessions and course simulations
  • Your own personal Foresight sports online account which tracks every shot that you hit and can be reviewed remotely from the comfort of your own home.
