Captain Pro Challenge

Mick Chambers and Chris Weir

Our first challengers of the week were Chris Weir and Mick Chambers. We knew from the outset that they were going to be tough to beat and we weren't wrong.

They started strong dovetailing very well. Chris was solid and Mick playing off of 15 came in with a considerable amount of pars (Mick I have now cut you to 8 handicap after this match).

The match eventually ended on the 15th hole being four holes up and we managed to claw the score back to 2 holes on the 18th.

Andrew Ryan and Michael McMahon

Our matches are coming thick and fast. Sunday's challengers were the all Irish pairing of Andrew Ryan and Michael McMahon. The captain again started strong with pars on both the first and second holes respectively. Despite quite a few shots given away we managed to win the match 2 up with Michael birdiing the 18th hole with a shot.

We would like to put the win down to my LAB Golf putter where I achieved only 24 putts for the round.

We have just a received another drop of LAB putters from the United States. I have eight different putters all of which are varying lie angles, lengths, colours, grips and alignment features and are only one of two authorised fitters in the United Kingdom.

Tiger returns!

Tiger Woods made his return to golf at The Memorial Tournament, playing at a Jack Nicklaus-designed course alongside Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka. That’s pretty cool!

Muirfield Village, better known as Jack’s Place, proved to be a brutal beast. 3-over was enough to make the cut and even-par enough for a share of 10th, with even the world’s best notching double and triple bogeys.

Jon Rahm became just the second Spaniard in history, behind Seve Ballesteros, to become World No.1 after a convincing victory in Ohio. Despite going +5 on Sunday’s back-nine, Rahm cruised to a three-stroke win.

Rahm’s final score of -9 will not jump off the page of PGA Tour winners, but numbers could never tell the story of just how much Jack’s Place demanded.
