We are always striving to improve the way golfers hit the ball. With the latest technology and fitting carts available we are able to undertake the most comprehensive fitting session possible. This week a member wanted a new set of Mizuno irons and heard about our DNA fitting cart. To start with the member hit his current Cleveland 6 iron.

We went through the fitting process trying various heads and shafts. In the end he was fitted for:

Dynamic Gold XP 115 Stiff Flex
Ball Speed - 113 mph
Carry Distance - 171 yards

This was a carry distance gain of 18 yards. Not only did we increase his distance but his dispersion improved averaging 4 yards right of target.

Samuel Ryder Acdemy School

We are nearing the end of an 8 week coaching course with the children from the Samuel Ryder Academy. They now have a full understanding of the basic setup and have covered chipping, putting and the full swing. 16 more kids have already been signed up to start another 8 weeks of golf coaching after Christmas. The Club and Samuel Ryder Academy are currently discussing future plans to get more of their school children into playing golf here at Verulam.
