Competition Two's Ball Sweep

As we currently stand the optional twos sweep is £1 per entry. This amount has been has not changed for at least the last 15 years or so. During this time the price of golf balls has dramatically increased from roughly £2.50 a ball (Titleist Professional) to now £4.50 (Titleist Pro V1).

This means that the amount of balls received by winners has dropped. There were several completions last year that a two collected only one ball. My proposal is to increase the two's entry to £2. To note all money collected goes into the two's pot and paid out in balls.

I respect all of your thoughts and would appreciate any feedback. I will be asking as many of you as possible in the coming weeks. If we were to increase the amount it would not commence until the first singles qualifier event of the year.

Follow Andrew Ryans Journey

Andrew Ryan is a Verulam club member and also a renowned comedian. Andrew is documenting his golfing journey trying to reduce his handicap from 15 to 7 this year.

Andrew has been having coaching from me in the last year and the swing changes he's made have improved his golf significantly.

Over the next year, Andrew will be posting his videos via Instagram and YouTube.

Rosemark Putter Grips

I am now am an official stockist for the UK of Rosemark putter grips. Rosemark Grips “Tension Free Putting“ Thorn and Wide-Top series grips were developed by owner/inventor Mark Cokewell with the help of experts in biomechanics, kinesiology and orthoinfology (hand surgery).

Their team of experts and engineers mapped the shape and contact points of the hands, collecting data used to create the patented hexagonal design. This shape, present on all Rosemark Grips, allows the hands to cradle the grip naturally and insures the golfer will be able to properly control the putter, achieving the most fluid and consistent putting stroke possible.

I have a selection of the grips on my fitting putters to feel and try. Once you get these in your hands you will never look back.

Trolley Lease Starts 1st March

Our popular Electric trolley lease will start again on 1st March. The price remains at £120 and runs from 1st March to 31st November.

All of the trolleys come with umbrella holders. This offer allows unlimited use of a trolley within the time frame.

To guarantee your trolley all you need to do is pre book with us. We are limiting this offer to 20 on a first come first serve basis.

To guarantee your place make payment directly to the shop before 1st March.
