From The Course

Drainage work was started on Tuesday to the 17th green.

In recent years the green has become very soft in the winter months.

This has been highlighted by the improved drainage work we did a few years ago.

Pictured here is the work being carried out.

This type of work is far less intrusive to greens than the previous process.

Team VGC at Ashridge

This week saw Laurence entertain 3 of our members at Ashridge Golf Club to contest the “Porters Park Bowl”, one of the prestigious trophies competed for in the Hertfordshire PGA Alliance.

On a blustery day round a fine conditioned Ashridge Laurence, Steve Clarke, Eric Saunders & Richard Whittaker battled well finishing a creditable 7th out of the 20 teams with 87 points just 3 points back of 1st place.

Individually Laurence once again with his NEW Mizuno MP-20 irons & T20 wedges beat par with a score of 71 (1 under par).
