Club news

Verulam v Verulam Artisans

On Saturday we held our annual Verulam v Verulam Artisans match. As ever the artisans put out their strongest team.

Ten pairs went out and did battle on the links of royal Verulam.

It came down to the last match of Gerald Hill / Bill Gash against Steve Wallace and Graham .... Unfortunately for us they Hill And Gash couldn’t beat Wallace and ...... meaning the overall result was 5 - 5 and the artisans retain the trophy for yet another year.

As the captain was the loser he was made to wear the ‘wooden spoon’ for the entire evening and to make matters worse on the presentation evening of the artisans.

Captain Pro Match

Our challengers last week were Dermot Drinan and Doug Bates.

As much as I hate to say it both Dermot and Doug played extremely well and managed to beat us on the last hole 1 up.

Thanks, both of your for a fun-filled afternoon on the course.

Carl’s Final Day

Carl’s final day at Verulam will be Sunday 13th October.

Come and say goodbye to him personally after his shift where we will be having a drink in the clubhouse.

He may even buy you a drink but I very much doubt it.

Winter Studio Practice Promo Announced…….

A new ball from Titleist

It's not uncommon for brands to launch their products as the greatest thing since sliced bread, however, if you like to play a ball that has an ultra-soft feel and doesn't shirk its responsibilities off the tee or around the green, then the brand new TruFeel could well make a justified claim to that title.
