The “Doc” is taking the right remedy!
Last week saw one of Academy Director Laurence’s long-standing students flourish in the August Stableford.
Alan Thomson aka “The Doc” produced a fine display showcasing all parts of his game which ended with a very good 40 points.
During the year, Alan has been on many adventures including a trip to the US just before the US Open at Pebble Beach.
Here is Alan picking his ball out of the hole after making a “2” on the 1st hole in the famous course.
Now down to 5.5, Alan is coming into the pinnacle of his career!

The simple shoe equation
Mathematics can be a complicated subject with all that pi, algebra and calculus floating around, but there is one simple equation we can all understand:
uncomfortable golf shoes = a miserable time for all
Skechers Mojo Elite shoes
Let’s break down this equation further
The main problem here is that walking on hard ground for four hours/18 holes in the summer months can take its toll on our feet.
Blisters and bleeding are common signs that something isn't quite right and the issue will only be exasperated if your golf shoes are worn, cracking or ill-fitting.
So, what’s the answer?
After running the numbers through our super-computer, we end up with a pair of golf shoes that are designed for comfort, like Skechers’ Mojo Elite.
It boasts Ultra Flight underfoot cushioning, which will have you feeling like you're walking on the clouds for the entirity of your round. Why not pop in the shop and try a pair on this summer?
Driver adjustability has been a marketing buzz term for a number of years now, but how much of a difference will it really make to your game? Well, we decided to find out.
We could bamboozle you with tech speak when it comes to adjustability but there are two key ways in which today's drivers can be adjusted to suit your swing, making a custom fitting more important than ever before.
Perimeter weighting
The first is the ability to adjust weighting on the sole of the head to enhance flight characteristics or to promote a specific ball flight.
Hosel adjustability
The second is the ability to adjust loft and lie angles in the hosel.
Take Lynx's ultra-fast looking Black Cat driver for example. If you're launching your driver too low or high, hosel adjustability allows us to add or take away loft until we get the perfect launch conditions for your swing.
Custom fitting is key
A smart weight bar system in Lynx's Black Cat driver also boasts different adjustable weights that we can position during a custom fitting to help counteract your bad shot. Come and speak to a member of the team for more information.
