Mizuno Madness All golfers have long been aware of Mizuno’s reputation for producing irons that not only look fantastic, but perform and feel unlike any other irons. However, few people are aware of just how good their wood range is!
Having tested their latest fairways woods and drivers, we were amazed (but not surprised) at just how strong their current offerings are. Trusted by our very own Laurence Allen, he has seen an improvement in both distance and dispersion since becoming a Mizuno Ambassador and playing their wood range. For this reason, we feel that we’ve got to get these clubs in the hands of our members and guests to experience their unmatched performance for themselves! |
|
Here at Verulam pro shop we will be offering you all an EXCLUSIVE deal on Mizuno woods. If you purchase any of their GT180 or ST180 driver or fairway woods, you will receive £100 OFF the marked retail price! Take advantage of this opportunity to update your dated woods with the latest and best technology for a fraction of the cost of the offerings from other major brands. Certainly an offer not to be missed! Click here to get in touch for more details. |
Verulam junior reaches National Final! Verulam junior member Nattie Warren put on an exceptional display to reach the showdown of the American Golf Junior Championship at Gainsborough Golf Club. He scored an impressive 42 points off a handicap of 19 to take victory in the boys’ nett category. Matt Bacon, head of events at American Golf, said: “Some of the best junior golfers in the UK and Ireland have played in the championship over the past few years so I’m excited to see the boys and girls that have been here today taking the competition forward. There has been some incredible golf, all played in the best spirit of the game. It never ceases to amaze me how these young people perform under pressure, but more so, how they handle themselves in the heat of competition.” We’d all like to extend a huge well done to Nattie and we wish him the best of luck in the forthcoming final!

How many times do you find yourself lining up your shot and thinking "this is about an 8-iron from here to the pin", only to find that you end up 10-15 yards short of the hole? Being able to utilise accurate yardages is a key step to taking your game to the next level, which is why we'd recommend using a GPS device to ensure you always know exactly how far you have left to the pin. |
| Information at a glance
If you are yet to make the step into GPS assistance, why not try out the Garmin Approach S20? The watch's high-sensitivity GPS receiver gives you the distance data you need to fire away with confidence and hone in on the pin. You'll have distance to the front, back and middle of the green, as well as hazards, doglegs and layups. |
