Acquisition Day Trophy
On Saturday 2nd August, one of our major competitions took place. With the weather forecast looking a bit wet, 118 members competed in the stableford format hoping their name would make it onto one of the clubhouse boards. Luckily the weather stayed dry for most of the day and the scoring was very impressive.

On Wednesday 30th July, myself and the captain took on J. White and J. Foster in a Captain Pro Challenge, the game was played in good fun spirit and we thoroughly enjoyed the game. Unfortunately for the opposition myself and the captain came out victorious 6 up.
However on Sunday 3rd August we faced Mike Hann and Pete Kirby, and the match outcome was very different. On the 1st tee I said to the Captain that this would be a tough game and I was proved correct, with Mike and Pete beating us 1 up with two gross birdies on the 18th Hole! Well played to you both…it won't happen again!!!
