Welcome to this weeks' newsletter, it seems the sun has finally started to shine on us and with the golf course playing in great condition, it was the lovely to see so many of you playing at Verulam throughout the week.
Ladies Captain's Day
The sun shined on our lady captain on Sunday. There was a great turn out concluded by a presentation and BBQ. Over 80 people attended and there was a superb atmosphere at the club. Congratulations to Tina Bowe for a tremendous day!!

Srixon ball fitting success!
Many of you took advantage of our Srixon ball fitting day, I personally couldn't believe how many players were using the incorrect golf ball. Plenty of customers were gaining more distance with a ball more suitable to their own golf swing, this is due to how much each ball compresses at impact. Playing a ball with the correct compression could result in better scores, and you don't even have to change your swing.
Richard Kiff was playing a ball that was too soft for his swing speed. This meant that he was compressing the ball too much and losing distance. We moved from a Srixon Soft Feel to an AD333 which increased ball speed, reduced driver spin and gained 7 yards carry distance.
