Verulam Golf Club V Verulam Artisans 

On Saturday, 15 October the club held possibly its most anticipated match of the season. The Wooden Spoon is awarded to the losing team of this match in a 20 man a side Clash. 

On this occasion it was The Artisans who were victorious in a close match which ended up 6-4 in favour of the Artisans. 

This meant that club captain Bryn Aldridge got presented with The Wooden Spoon. 


Herts Golf Union Team Cup Final

Commiserations to the Verulam Artisans who lost in the final of the Herts Golf Union Team Cup final at Berkhamsted on Sunday. A great effort to reach the finals and what a year it's been winning the Waddell Trophy and runners up in the HGU cup.

New indoor studio nearest to the pin competition now LIVE 

This month's nearest to the pin challenge is taking place in the warmth of Dubai.

Glen's Done the Double 

Last week Verulam Professional Glen returned to winning ways as he clinched the Herts Professional Matchplay crown after beating Crue Elliot (Sandy Lodge) 2&1 at Hanbury Manor in the final.

Glen then went on to win the first Hertfordshire Alliance Pro-Am of the Autumn at East Herts GC. Glen fired a 3under par 68 and is in good form ahead of next week's PGA County Finals held at The Belfry.

On Sunday Stephen and Glen held a junior team bonding session for our current junior team. The afternoon was designed to create an even better team atmosphere within the juniors. 

The sessions will be continuing monthly to get everyone together and to produce a great team spirit within the junior section. 

We will not always be playing golf or even discussing golf as next up on the agenda is a PlayStation FIFA tournament.
