Samuel Ryder Trophy 

On Saturday we held the prestigious Samuel Ryder Trophy here at Verulam. With teams coming to play from miles out the day is always extremely well supported and equally competitive. 

Unfortunately, we were not able to bring out the weather to match the fantastic day and everyone battled hard out in the pouring rain. As the conditions were so tough the scoring was slightly higher than average but still very good. 

There were some good scores from our members too including David Hopps and John Colfer collecting the 3rd place handicap prize. 

The winners of the day were Old Fold Manor members Mike Ready & Ian Foster with a +2 146 for the 36 holes. 

Well done to everyone who played, we hope to see you again next year.

Nearest the Pin - Ryder Cup Edition 

Our latest nearest the pin competition is up and running here in the JS Golf Studio. You can play as if you are one of your Ryder Cup heroes and take on the 8th hole at Hazeltine National. 

It is £3 to enter and the closest shot wins the pot. 

The competition closes on the last day of the Ryder Cup so come and get in early and set the marker to beat.
