Lombard Trophy
On Monday, club qualifier winner Olly Marjoram and I played in the Lombard Trophy qualifier at Ashridge. The winner of the qualifier would win an all expenses paid trip to Vila Sol Resort in Portugal to compete in the national finals.
Olly was on top form recording three gross birdies (2 on shot holes) and numerous nett birdies. I was steady with two birdies and two bogies. We dovetailed well to score an impressive nett 63 (-9). This score was leading until the last few groups came in where Manor of Groves scored and impressive 59 (-13).
Thanks to Olly for a great day and I look forward to playing next year with our club qualifier winner.

The Open - Nearest to the Pin Leading up to and during the US Open we held a nearest the pin competition on our Foresight Sports GC2 Simulator. We used the 6th hole at Oakmont, and if you missed out on this competition fear not, as we have begun our Open Championship nearest the pin on the postage stamp hole at Royal Troon. It costs
£3 for 4 shots and you can have as many tries as you please.
Be sure to bring your A game as it is not an easy shot, don't be fooled by the short yardage!
