This week's news has some results from our Ladies June Medal, some exciting club events around the US Open, plenty of cracking shop offers, and a look at our members 'Los Naranjos' tour to Portugal.

Ladies June Medal & 9 - Hole Results 

Div 1: 1st - T. Bowe - 80 - 10 = 70, 2nd - K. Rodford - 90 - 13 = 77 

Div 2: 1st - M. Sinnott - 95 - 22 = 73, 2nd - S. Holliday - 98 - 21 = 77 

9 Hole: 1st - J. Mitchell - 12 pts (countback) 2nd - R. Pike - 12 pts


 

With the weather forecast to be poor for this coming week, why not book a session in the JS Golf Studio. We have a selection of the world's top golf courses including Oakmont, the host to this week's US Open. For only £25 per hour and a maximum of four people, it's a great way to get your golf fix in a relaxed fun environment.


US Open Nearest The Pin 

Making full use of the JS Golf Studio we are hosting a US Open nearest the pin competition. Come and take on the infamous 6th hole at Oakmont and try to get it closer than everyone else. 

We will be running the competition until the end of the US Open on Sunday, and there is an unlimited amount of goes you can have.

For only £3 you get 4 shots, and the pin is set up in quite a friendly place to knock it close and collect the prize money.

Here in the studio we are authorised custom fit specialists for Callaway, PING, Mizuno, Titleist and Wilson. We have the full fitting components making us one of the best custom fitting facilities in the South East.

Los Naranjos on Tour 

Over the past week, 20 of our lovely members went on a Golf tour to Portugal. With the sun shining and the beers flowing the "Los Naranjos" gang played 4 rounds which included some great golf courses such as Oceanico Faldo & O'Conner Course, Palmares and Boavista Golf clubs. All smartly dressed in their team shirts which were provided by us from FootJoy. 

The word around the club is that Paul Mortham won the Cutbush Cup, although scores are yet to be confirmed… 

  

There are also some rumours that Steve Craig tried to cheat his way to the trophy by going to bed at 9pm every night, anything for that slight advantage.
