New launches coming soon
In the next few weeks I will be taking delivery of the new brand new products that you will be able to get your hands on in 2016.
This year we are stocking the latest products from industry leading brands such as :
- Callaway
- Mizuno
- PING
- Titleist
- Lynx
- Wilson
All have a new range of woods and irons hitting the shelves in 2016.
Click here to visit our website where you can find out more about each of these ranges, including some fantastic reviews and videos.
PING G series - Coming SoonThis week you can read about the new G range from PING. PING started some 12-14 years ago with the G2 range of woods and irons. They then produced the G5, G10, G15, G20, G25 and then the G30. Available to purchase from 11th February is the new G range and it promises to be the best yet.
The G range of irons joins the new i range along with the GMax which were launched last August. Looking at the back of the iron, you will see the COR eye technology that was seen in the GMax iron. This technology increases ball speeds across the whole face, but combine this with a higher launch and the ball travels higher, therefore further but lands softly on the green, no matter where it was struck on the face.
The irons are using a highly controlled heat treating process so as to make the face thinner and faster for extra distance.
The weight saved from the face has been added to the perimeter to make the club even more forgiving than its predecessor the G30.
So the new G iron gives more distance, forgiveness and control with the look and feel that creates confidence with any shot.
Joining the iron range is a brand new wood and hybrid collection. I will be discussing these in a little bit more in depth over the next few weeks as these are not available to try until February. I should have all the demo irons in store by this Friday so we can get you fit for them and get them on pre-order to arrive on the first available date.
In the mean-time,

Click here to get in touch if you would like to be one of the first to try these out with a fitting here at Verulam.
Stephen's Loft & Lie Service As we are fairly quiet with the cold weather, our assistant Stephen is introducing a
FREE loft and lie check service. If you bring your set of irons in he will check the loft and lie
FREE of charge and it will only cost
£3 per club if any have to be changed.
If the lie angle of a club is wrong it can have huge effects on the ball flight, so make sure you're not at a disadvantage at the start of the season!
We are looking for equipment testing volunteers for 2016 It's that time of year where lots of the manufacturers are launching new products in the market and I am looking for some members to volunteer to test it.
I would like some members from all handicap categories to give me their opinion on certain equipment and then write a review which I will publish here in the newsletter.
If you would like to get involved please
click here or contact one of the pro shop team.
Professional's Team Challenge
This coming year, the pro shop will be offering a pro's challenge. The challenge will involve a team of three members with one of our professionals. It will be a stableford of best two scores out of four with the cost of
£25 per player.
If you win the challenge and have the best score out of all of the teams to compete, you will win a golf trip away. The destination will depend on how many entries we have. It would be great to get the chance to play with our members so please come in and chat to us and we'll have a game!

Pro Shop Sale - Continued!
As the course was closed during our clubhouse sale we still have a lot of stock left at sale prices!
If you want to snap up any of these unbelievable deals then you better hurry, as the course is open again and people are flooding in!
Christmas Draw Results A gentle reminder that all Christmas Draw prizes must be collected by the end of January so that I can close the books on it.
If prizes are not collected they will be forfeited.
Unfortunately due to the overnight snow on Saturday night the Three to count competition was cancelled.
Quiz Night On Thursday the pro shop team attended the monthly quiz night here at Verulam with Laurence's Pink Ladies group. We were hot off the mark getting MOST of the questions right leaving all other tables in our dust.
The night continued in similar fashion and we left victorious…
If only that was the truth.....
It was great to see over 90 people attending a social evening.
Have a great week and hope to see you all soon at Verulam.
Regards,
Joel, Glen, Stephen and
Laurence
