Welcome to another edition of our weekly newsletter from a very wet golf course.
Unfortunately the course was closed all of last week due to the persistent rain. This hasn't stopped us from keeping busy. Our clubhouse Sale on Saturday proved successful despite the course closure. Golfers grabbed some bargains ranging from HALF PRICE Waterproofs and Golf Balls to £60 OFF ECCO shoes plus many more.
The sale is still in full flow so pop in store and grab yourself a bargain!

Swing Studio Progression
For those of you that have been to the club in the last couple of weeks, you will have noticed the progression of the new trolley shed at the rear of the shop.
This is coming towards its conclusion. Following on from this will be the swing studio.
The current trolley shed will be raised and then fitted with the industry's latest technology. All of the simulator software and hardware has been purchased….. even a nice comfy leather sofa for you to relax on.
The approximate finish date will be the end of February, but obviously we will know near the time the exact opening date.

iPlay Golf Evening
Thanks to all of those that have registered interest in our iplay evening in Milton Keynes. iPlay use the same simulator software that we will be using in our studio.
Keep your diaries free on Friday, 12 February. The coach will leave Verulam at approximately 6pm. The evening will consist of course play, nearest the pin and longest/straightest drive competitions along with two FREE drinks per person. All this for just £45 (based on 25 members).
To book your place payment of £45 must be paid direct to the pro shop.
Handicap Review 2016
The review of club members handicap will be taking place in the next couple of weeks. If you feel like your handicap needs adjusting either up or down please put it in writing to me.
VGC members Steve Cutbush and Neville & Willie Customers have been sunning it up over Christmas in the sunshine state of Florida. They arranged to meet up for a game at Flamingo Course at Lely Resort, Naples. The lake in the background had an 8ft alligator lazing on the bank in the sun.
